Weekly Overview

This week we heard quite a few presentations, and all with a lot of information.  There was a wide variety of information presented, and all were very educational.  Everything from Wonder to plants to flamingoes to life cycle of a frog, this shows how much educational knowledge is in the class.  I liked all the visual aids and different thinking maps which were used.  These ideas gave me some ideas which I could use later down the road in my social studies classes.  It is crazy to think that some of the material can be used in a all types of classes, just need to use a little creativity and switch it all up.  Two more weeks of classes left and we are all getting closer to our final goal.  I can say from when I started all of this, time has been flying and classes have been getting knocked out.

  1. Clint,
I enjoyed reading your blog! I can't believe we are almost done with this 8 weeks either. There has been so much great information presented this course, I will have to start making lists of what I would like to add to my classes/lesson. Great thoughts!

  2. Clint,
I liked seeing people’s lesson plans as well to see if I was filling mine out right. For the Bloom’s I listed all my level of questions. Some people just had the labels. I haven’t turned one into the drop box yet to be graded. I am glad the end is in sight! I am taking 400 and Math 155 this summer.

  3. Michelle, to your response, I literally created a WORD document for this very idea! There has been so many ideas that fellow students have presented that I wrote this down.

Clint, I totally understand the relief you explain in your post when talking about week 6. I can't believe we only have a few more class periods (now 1)! I really enjoy being in Mrs. Steffes' classes, and am going to miss her! This summer I'll be taking my Senior Seminar and Teaching Creative Arts and Movement to Children, so the end is definitely in sight! Thank goodness! :)
